UB Music que – Our Services

We offer one on one, group and family music therapy sessions to support to the caregivers and their families in our community, offering sessions for their loved ones and themselves as they navigate through:
– raising children with developmental delays
– families experiencing grief and loss
– children in need of non-verbal expressive path towards healing
– caring for their elderly family member experiencing neurological conditions

We know that families come in all shapes and sizes. Caregiver – Loved One dyads might be: parent & child, adult child and elderly parent, as much as it could be a spouses or sibling relationships.
Sessions include a variety of musical experiences from:

• music improvisation,
• drumming of all kinds,
• movement to music,
• lyric analysis,
• song-writing,
• learning to sing or play of songs and music on instruments that inspire you or your love ones.
• For grounding We now also offer craniosacral sessions with optional use of the vibro acoustic table.

Who Can Benefit?

Our programs are designed to support families with loved ones experiencing some of, but not exclusively, the following health conditions and neurodivergences:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Down Syndrome among other trisomy condition
• Visual Impairments
• Auditory Impairments
• Cerebral Palsy
• Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias such as Parkinson’s
• Post stroke or other cardiovascular rehabilitation

Tailored Therapeutic Focus

Each session is tailored to the person and family’s specific health goals and needs—increasing quality of life and well being through the intentional use of music to enhance family bonding through health challenging to support communication, sensory regulation, fine and gross motor coordination, mobility, stress and anxiety management, cognitive and memory support, etc. (see the full list of Therapeutic Goals).

Services Offered

Individual Session Personalized work with the client (or parent child dyad). Tailored music preferences for this individual person’s goals and health needs. Unique tailors to the person rather than the family dynamic. Within this option, sessions could integrate a craniosacral focus for caregivers or loved ones on the vibro acoustic table: low frequency vibrations, to release tension and deepen relaxation. Guidance to support and encourage use of voice and breath for tension energy release.
Family Session Personalized family support through caregiver and unique health goals for their love one. Hands-on music making as a family, playful bonding and purposeful musicking towards co-regulation, shared attention, and increase in family tools for an overall increase in quality of life and well-being.
Group Session Small groups (3 8 participants) sharing common objectives (e.g., language development, motor coordination, emotional expression). Enhanced social interaction, mutual support dynamics, opportunities for collective improvisation.
Workshops & Organization Consultations Training for educators, community workers, and healthcare professionals who wish to integrate music therapy and craniosacral principles into their lives and work. Hands on demonstrations, printable teaching materials, adaptation strategies for various settings (schools, rehab centers, senior homes).
Online Music Therapy Secure video platform sessions for families who are remote or traveling. Continuity of care, flexible scheduling, access to the same musical protocols remotely.

Remote Access

For families on the move or living in remote areas, we now provide online music therapy. Virtual sessions retain every therapeutic component: carefully selected music, breathing exercises, guided craniosacral techniques, and interactive musical activities—all delivered through a secure, HIPAA compliant platform.
